New beginnings in the new lunar year

Good morning, Idleness.

I haven't seen you in quite some time. I've recently been infected with the national corporate epidemic: unemployment! Hooray for the certain aspects [and positives?!] I can celebrate to. Middle-finger to the remaining. In addition, thank you to all my supportive compadres who celebrated my freedom on Monday at D&B's. Your presence was appreciated.

I'm enjoying time to myself, however I can foresee a potential brick wall that may form if I become too comfortable with the idea of unemployment. But as always, I must live in the moment and embrace the time I have to myself to just do miscellaneous things and find self-fulfillment in that respect.

I've made it a habit to create lists this new year. This list I have compiled is one in which I hope to accomplish during the time I am unemployed:

1. Become a Camp Anytown counselor
2. Solve the rubix cube [this was my goal for January, but I think it should be a perpetual one since I haven't successfully solved it without the aid of Youtube]
3. Work out
4. Do more photoblogging
5. Read more

I finished The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield-- not a riveting novel, let me tell you. I started reading Revolutionary Road by Richard Yates today & I'm enjoying it so far. I feel the fervent emotions Leo & Kate experience through his all-inclusive writing. I'm excited to continue reading this.

As part of my new-found yearly commitments to myself and hopeful incessant growth, I made sure to perpetuate resolution #4 to my list this year: Always be reading a book.

Here are more books on the 'to-read' list:

Speaking of resolutions for the new year, here they are:
