All the time, Tip.

Industry rule number four thousand and eighty, record company people are shady.

Recap on RTB 2008:
I especially enjoyed this year. I'd have to say, this year I felt more ecstatic than ever to hear good hip-hop performed live. The atmosphere was refreshing, the people were genuine [discounting the large number of HB's], and the weather was gorgeous. I got a bit sunburned, but that's what happens when you get lawn seats. As far as seats were concerned, lawn's were extremely chill and less restricting like seated and not to mention, heavily priced. I found myself immersed in the culture as I observed my surroundings. I came to the conclusion that I'm getting old, or rather my energy level is declining. I observed the crowd and many of those in the back were older folks who's high volumed hip-hop consisted of Rakim, ATQC, KRS-One, etc had a more relaxed experience, I guess you could say. They were still live when they heard some joints they enjoyed. I love what music does for you: it brings a cohesively diverse group of enthusiasts all together enjoying the love of good music.

My favorite performances from the night:
ATQC
The Pharcyde (especially Fat Lip's take on My Prerogative)
Nasty Nas

I didn't care for the 2nd stage much. I heard Cool Kids, Kids in the Hall, Tyga (Lil' Wayne's prodigy), The Pack and other up and coming artists were blessing the stage. Couldn't relate. I'm not up to date with much of the new artists these days. I snapped a few photos during the show, not very good ones, but here's 2:

After the very punctual ending of RTB, we headed north up to SF for the after party at the Mezzanine. Q-tip did a set, Mos entertained with his clutch dance moves, & Jay Electronica filled the spotlight for a bit. Pics:
